Keeping an open Mind

- Tuesday’s and Thursdays ages 9-13 :LEAF 6:30-7:30pm
- Saturday’s check Registry for Ages/Dates/Time
- Keep an eye out for a pop up -Yoga Nidra- a night your child won’t forget right in the comfort of their own home. Meet on zoom for a magical story and a meditative way of calming the body and mind for a good nights rest

Here at the wellness studio for kids, we have been working away at our marketing skills. If there is any? Haha.

Winter Break Camps
During the New Years break we will have some full camp days open for kids to have a chance to hang out here, practising calming activities, playing games, meeting friends, and re-balancing our emotions.
October/November
The participation of each child in our first set of programs were beyond expectations. We are so proud.
We had 7 children in our 1:1 Breath coach sessions- with every child showing a significant improvement in school attendance, confidence, positivity, and better quality sleep. Each child proudly learning how to channel their breath as a way to manage daily challenges.
What it means to show up for your children
Wellness for childrenI was walking in the forest one day and I thought to myself “wow” this is what it’s like to feel completely open, and to let go, and breathe again. It is a privilege to be able to walk freely through the land I live near, and release. and re charge. Kids love to release and re-charge. They do this by jumping, flipping, eating, drinking, laughing, talking, and going and going and going. They don’t know how to use the relaxed feeling to stop and take a minute.
We do, and we can show them. Their minds however, are always turning. If we show them how we can be calm, how we can re-charge, how we show up for them more relaxed, they will want to try it too.
Anxiety in children is at an all time high, as parents we want nothing more then to see their happiness. We want their childhood to be fear, and anxiety free, and yet it weighs on them and its hard for children to understand it.
They are hanging off our every move, and word. Let us show them a way to connect into the body, by just simply using their breath or yoga…. Imagine knowing this as a kid? Who would you be today using these practises as you came into adult hood?

Helping our children one breath at a time
Practising Self Love
Connection to the powerful mindChildren in our community are full of big, fun, and sometimes wild energy 🙂 MOST of the time that energy is carried through their emotions. Emotions, are one of the most hardest things to control when a little person’s mind, body, and soul is in the process of learning how to grow in this big confusing world. As adults, we’re always learning new ways to calm the chattering mind, and bring mindfulness in our everyday lives. For kids its a bit more complex!
As the parent or care giver to our children, it becomes our responsibility to help them regulate all their emotions ! But wait…. we have to keep ours in check at the same time, and then, so do the classroom teachers, and then so do the grandparents, the babysitters and the aunts/uncles the brothers, the sisters, and everyone else who loves them and is involved enough to make them feel good inside and safe. We will forever be the support they need everyday of their lives. We need more resources to teach them to feel that emotion in the moment, breathe it in, exhale it out, and release it. The magical thing about kids is how much they can appreciate an activity that makes them feel good, and then express to us how they’ve learned it.
Love Child Connected is a wellness Centre that offers great classes, which are able to teach them over dedicated time some easy daily techniques they can take with them into the future. Which will help encourage them to step out of their shell, build confidence, lift the heavy weight of anxiety, sleep better, eat better, digest better, and most of all feel better in all the “scary” situations they’ll encounter. There is no bounds for the diverse word “scary” to a child, and as a parent the protection you have in your body for them is so vast, you wish you could take away the fear the feel in an instant. If you feel your child of any age could benefit from Yoga/stretching, meditation/relaxing, breathing games, and calming instrumental music.
